Southwest Leather conference 2019 Southwest Regional MAsT meeting

Welcome to 17th year of Southwest Leather conference
2019 Southwest Regional MAsT meeting.
Please sign the confidentiality agreement that is going around. 32 members from around the country attended (AZ, CA, CO, KS, MO, NM, OK, TX, VA, WI)
I am Lady Morgan Your 2019 Assistant SW Regional Rep, I am very pleased to see so many starting their day here.
1. I whish to start the meeting by going around and introducing yourself, the State you are currently in and any Chapter affiliations.
2. My Goal over the next 2 years is to build connections/support throughout our region, so I plan to interact at least once a month with Chapter Directors/CoDirectors; however, I am here to support ALL members. I ask for your patience as I am just coming into this position 3 weeks ago (all is very new to me). Please feel free to contact me anytime by your easiest form (email, text or phone call).
3. The Board sends this message through MzSuzan, MAsT International Chief Executive Officer. (email), I personally look for to ‘the plans’ MsSuzan has for the upcoming year so please watch MAsT.net & MAsT Chat emails.
4. Did You Know:
a. How long have our Regional meetings been held at SWLC: since 2009 per Master Mark/Master Trent
b. SW region has Quarterly conference calls; these happen to build our communities into family; so information can be passed from the Board to local chapters. Please ask your Directors/CoDirectors what was discussed and upcoming ideas. Please watch MAsT.net, MAsT Chat email and Fet Group a I plan to post information.
5. I wish to go around to hear what you are grateful/thankful for and then a challenge you are facing.
a. Grateful for local chapter support in 2018 with our sudden Officers restructuring
b. Challenge learning new position and responsibilities
c. Challenge work schedules to attend meetings
d. Grateful for our local chapter being open to switch day of week to meet mid-week, attendance is up.
e. Challenge finding a place to meet
f. Grateful for our move closer to town so folks are now coming;
g. challenge is finding room in New House as more folks are attending.
h. Challenge getting folks to be active in meetings, having burn out
i. Grateful for our chapter ‘Auctioning Club membership” as a fundraiser to support local venue.
j. Challenge creating personal time
k. Grateful for local folk’s support in personal life
l. Challenge of anonymity with work/personal life.
6. Another round of what chapter comments/concerns you would like assistance with
a. Can WebEx, Moodle, Online or video options for meetings be discussed for those unable to attend
b. Do we need to raise annual dues ($25) to help the board move into the 21st century technology?
c. Starting new chapter in same area as older group had ‘drama’
d. Folks having conversations within meeting: intimacy without interrogation
e. Region/Board being more communicative with what Goals being actively worked: Tshirts, swag for the last 3 years
f. Where can I get fresh Discussion topics: suggested MAsT.net
g. Stereo typing M/s with present day “PC” term power exchange or M/s vs D/s dynamic
h. Years ago, we had a Special Event online from International, can we do that again?
i. Maybe something like Kinky Ted-talks from International
j. Virtual Binder for all the documentation or class materials. Try ePublishing and YouTube
k. Is there a way to reduce liability from Org (international), signing a waiver to do a Video production/event?
l. Create a list by State of who is willing to present classes, and how far to travel
m. International has talked about ‘Swag” tshirts for years, and what do I get: inaction. Why we not produce our own?
n. Can we create your own business cards,
